There is a new version of the Ultima Patcher incorporating Voyager Dragon’s latest Ultima 3 Upgrade. This latest release includes the option to play with tweaks to monster generation and food use in response to some common gameplay issues seen on the GOG forums. If you already have the previous patch (3.0) installed then you should be able to uninstall and reinstall from the patcher to update to 3.1.
The patch is in the downloads or available directly from here.
Is there something wrong with the file? I’ve tried to download it with different browsers and PCs and every time I get an Unexpected End of Archive when trying to open it.
There was. Something must have gone wrong with the FTPing even though it didn’t throw any errors. I’ve reuploaded so you should be OK now.
Thanks! Yes, now it works.

Hi there. Awesome website. Any chance of making an OS X version of the patcher?
I have the GOG version of Ultima IX(and I think it has some sort of voodoo wrapper) I was wondering if there is anyway to get the movies to play after using the patcher, they are in the directory but not accessed by the game.
I’ve just had a play around with this and found a bug in the patcher when using the forgotten world patch if Ultima 9 isn’t installed where it expects it to be. I’ll get it fixed when I get the chance but for now if you have a look in options.ini wherever you have Ultima 9 installed there is a line with the directory path to where the movies are installed. Swap this to the correct location and they should start working again.
