This is from November 1994’s PC Review magazine. This is a fairly harsh review for a game that is more or less an undisputed classic these days, although the criticism is valid. The CD version with its SVGA graphics was a substantial improvement.

I found a couple more 1994 magazines while I was searching for my 1995 ones, both of which had articles on Origin games. First off a preview of Wing Commander 3 from October 1994’s PC Games.
I don’t have anywhere near as many magazines from 1994 and of the one’s I do have I’ve only found one with anything to do with Origin. This is it, an Ultima 8 review from May 1994’s PC Format.
I found another 1993 magazine hiding in the pile. This review is from November 1993’s PC Zone. It claims that there are extra animations for the Origin FX Screen Saver with Silver Seed which would be news to me if it’s correct.
